SkinMed+ Aural HydroGel in practice
1st treatment: 6 May 2019
History: pain in both ear canals, head shaking for several days
Otoscopic examination: both ear canals filled with oozy sediment, heavily reddened
Swab: parasitology - negative, cytology - coccoid bacteria and malassezia
Therapy: sedated lavage performed. Left ear - mass of debris in front of the eardrum and at the level of the eardrum, rupture evident after removal, with most of the eardrum missing, ear canal fragmented. Right ear - mixture of dirt and hair along the entire length of the ear canal, scarred eardrum, small tear at the caudal margin
Medication: Hipralona 1.3 mls.c.; SkinMed+ Aural HydroGel 1× daily; Otoxolan 1× daily
Zobuxa 150 mg 1/2tbl. 1× daily starting tomorrow for 10 days.
