SkinMed+ Super has been an indispensable product in my practice for a long time in the treatment of several types of wounds. I most often use SkinMed+ Super 500 ml solution, as this pack size suits me best.
It is well applied, animal patients tolerate its application very well because it does not sting and does not irritate. Whether it is a bite wound, cut wound or chronic non-healing wound, it promotes the moist healing process and tissue granulation very well. It clearly has a synergistic effect with ATB therapy.
For small skin abrasions, or for treating interstitial spaces or skin folds, I often recommend SkinMed+ Super Spray 115 ml to owners because it is a convenient pack size.
There have been countless clinical cases, however, I would like to share this one case where it was a large bite wound.
Dog, Yorkshire Terrier, Percy, 4yrs, attacked while walking another large dog in the evening. Toileting of the wound and surgical treatment was carried out, ATB cover and NSAiD was put on.
On day 4, the wound was opened and healing continued per secundum with dressings, the wound was sprayed several times daily with SkinMed+ Super solution and wet gauze with solution was applied to the wound. At that time, there was no SkinMed+ Super HydroGel on the market that would adhere better to the wound surface.
The wound began to close nicely, the tissue granulated, and topical therapy combined with ATB/Noroclav,Enroxil/ and NSAiD healed completely in about 33 days.
In closing, I would certainly urge colleagues who don't have much personal experience with this product to definitely not be afraid to use it on all types of wounds, disinfect and perhaps always keep it handy in your purse for yourself and your family, as I have. Because I've used it many times for us humans and it has always worked well.
